The Edge Of Fashion

Every once in a while it's good to push your personal style to the limits. Think of it as a fash exercise. Sure I'd never wear this outfit to a simple lunch with friends, but as a lover of fashion I think it's important to feed that addiction every once in a while, no matter how over the top or out of your personal style box it may be. Unfortunately sometimes those magazine cover looks aren't always the most accessible or reasonable to replicate, but that doesn't mean us girls next door can't venture into the extreme territory every once in a while. In order to achieve my exaggerated ensemble I combined a simple black dress from Bar III, which you may remember me wearing here, with a bright yellow BCBG Max Azria top. To conceal the other half of the blouse and keep it in place I added a large belt. To top off the look I threw on a black bow and some major statement heels, which you may remember me wearing here. Living in LA is certainly a luxury when it comes to pushing your fashion boundaries, but no matter where you live, whether you're a fabulous city girl or a small town fashionista, I urge you all to play dress up every once in a while! xo
